One of the most beautiful times of the year in the south in autumn. With color in the hills and hollows, there no better time to have a festival in Alabama than early October. The 2015 Frog Festival will be on Saturday, October 3.
Organizers had no idea back in 2006 whether the festival would be a success or not, they just wanted to do something for the community.
As it turns out, the festival was a huge success and each subsequent year, it’s gotten bigger and bigger. The festival has vendors selling handmade arts and crafts, food vendors, and other booths.
Last year had American Idol contender performing to thousands in the audience.
The Frog Festival has well over a hundred booths of vendors selling handmade arts and crafts as well as other items. There are information booths, face painting, authors, churches, charities, and politicians.
The festival has entertainment ranging from folks, country, gospel, and old timey.
Food vendors have BBQ, funnel cakes, lemon aid, fried pork skins, roasted corn on the cob, coffee, hot dogs, and ribs on a stick.
It’s a beautiful small-town festival held on main street in Sumiton. Mark your calendars now and join us for this year’s Frog Festival.
