I’ve been married to my wife Dana for almost 2 years. She is my best friend and the most amazing person I’ve ever met. As my friends tell me, I out kicked my coverage!
What is your favorite High School memory?: I have a lot of great memories from high school, mostly sports related. I will always remember the days when I had no car, no money, no responsibility! Man, those were the days. But my best memory of my high school days was the night I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. It doesn’t get any bigger than that!
Who was your favorite teacher?: There’s no doubt I have the most memories of Mr. Dean’s class. He was really a lot of fun. But looking back, no teacher prepared me for my future as much as Ms. Stricklin. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I learned a lot from her, responsibility more than anything.
What is the most important thing I learned in high school?: Never judge another man until you have walked a mile in his shoes, then you can judge him all you want because he is a mile away and you have his shoes!!!
What are you currently doing and how did you arrive there?: I am currently a mortgage broker for one of the most reputable corporations in the state of Alabama. I finance home purchases, refinances, equity lines, and just about any other type of lending need you might have. I ran my own business for many years, but I always wanted to get into “Corporate America”. I just thank God that he opened that door for me.
Who are your heroes?: Well, First I would have to mention Christ. No one else has ever gave their life to save me from an eternal hell. After that, there are several people that I’ve always idolized, such as Bear Bryant and Jay Barker.
What are your hobbies?: I love to play golf. I play every chance that I get. My wife and I love to travel. We also love to tailgate at all University of Alabama sports events.
What do you want to be, what are your dreams?: As far as what I want to be, I’m doing exactly what I want to do in life. I have a great job, great wife, and great family and that is my dream. As far as what I want for the future, me and my wife plan on retiring on the Gulf Coast some day in the future.
