Don Wilson was awarded the 2016 Alumnus of the Year at the 2016 Reunion. Don and his wife Patti have been supporters of Dora High School through the years. The couple fund scholarships each year for a Dora High School student going into the field of engineering.
Wilson went on to graduate from Auburn University in Engineering and afterward moved to Huntsville, Alabama where he worked in the industry for over 30 years.
The All Class banquet collected $3000 which will go toward scholarships for deserving students.
Alumni President Lloyd Burton and Dora principal Paige Skalnic pointed out that the alumni for Dora is one of the few schools that support high school seniors who plan to attend college.
This year, four students received the awards.
