My name is Naomi Ragsdale Gibson, graduated in 1958—I have 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I still live in Sumiton, where I grew up.
What was your favorite high school memory?
I think my favorite memory was the Senior Play. I had a part in it.
Who was your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Ellenburg, because he treated us so special. We had 6 girls in the shorthand class and he was almost like a private tutor to us. I really enjoyed the class.
What was the most important thing you learned in school?
I learned respect, and how to obey the rules.
What are you currently doing and how did you arrive at this point in your life
I am currently retired, but may seek part- time employment. I worked at the same company for 32 years then retired.
Who are your heroes? My dad, but it took me years to know this.
What do you want to do when you grow up? Well I am WAY past grown up, but my dreams are for my children and grandchildren to be saved, succeed in life and do what makes them happy.

Any hobbies, special activities, pets, or anything of interest?
I mainly just go to church and do things for my family. I think I am known as the Peanut Butter Cake lady at church.
