Alondan Turner was a graduate of the class of 2009. She passed away January 16, 2010 from injuries sustained in a fire at the Days Inn in Hoover.

Obituary

Catherine Ann Muse, 18, and Alondan Carlota Turner, 18, both of the Argo/Cordova community of Walker County, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, from injuries they sustained in the tragic Days Inn Fire in Hoover.
A joint funeral service will be held for Catherine and Alondan at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Dora High School, with burial in the Argo Community Cemetery. The Rev. Darren C. Allen and the Rev. Bruce Henderson will officiate. Scott-McPherson Funeral Home in Fairfield will direct.

Catherine and Alondan graduated from Dora High School in 2009, and were both freshmen at the Mississippi University for Women at the time of their death. They attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cordova.
Catherine Ann Muse was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Roy Muse and John Sally.
She is survived by her mother, Dawn Berry of Florida; father, Anyea (Lakiesha) Muse of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Denisha Muse of Florida, Anyea Muse of Atlanta, Ga., and Kristen Curcio of New York, N.Y.; brother, Kahlil Muse of Atlanta, Ga.; and grandmothers, Annie Muse of Argo/Cordova community and Elaine Sally of Florida.
Alondan Carlota Turner was preceded in death by her father, Alvin W. Turner; grandfather, Roy Muse; and uncle, Alonzo Turner.
She is survived by her mother, Alondan M. Turner of Argo; sisters, Vicki Turner and April Turner; brother, Alvilonte Turner; and grandmothers, Carlota Turner and Annie Muse of Argo/Cordova community.
Catherine and Alondan are also survived by several aunts and uncles, Alisha Muse, Patricia Turner, Alvin Muse, Alan Muse (Linda) and Jermaine Muse (Carlissa); and a host of other relatives and friends.
