Christopher Kale Daugherty, age 24 of Sumiton passed away Friday August 17, 2012 at his residence. Chris was a longtime volunteer fireman with the City of Dora and was employed for the past five years with the City of Sumiton police department as a dispatcher and officer. He was a graduate of Dora High School, class of 2005.
Graveside services and interment will be Friday August 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Shanghi Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 12:30-1:30 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Barry Daugherty and his grandmother Louise Daugherty.
Survivors include his daughter, Chesney Aldridge; stepdaughter, Gracie Slate; mother, Donna Daugherty; sister, Heather Howard and husband Noah; fiance’, Kristal Meade; nephew. Carson Kale Howard; grandparents, William Daugherty and Patsy and Jimmy Hicks; several other family members and many friends.
