Lillian Grant Wilson from the Dora High School Class of 1931 passed away peacefully Monday, June 30, 2003, in Vermont. A memorial service will be held first in Vermont, then funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003, followed by burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2003, at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home in Dora. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Glinn C. Wilson in 1998.
She and her husband had both lived most of their lives in Dora. She was an active member of the Dora Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she was pianist for over 50 years. She worked in retail at several businesses, taught as a substitute teacher, and owned a private kindergarten, “Kiddie Kollege” in Dora. During the past 10 years, she lived in Vermont. She is survived by her sons, Donald G. Wilson and his wife, Patti of Huntsville, and Stephen G. Wilson and his wife, Pamela of Lake Charles, La.; daughter, Judith W. Martin and her husband, Lewis C. Martin Jr. of Essex Junction, Vt.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
