Saige Beaty

Sage Beaty is a graduate of the Class of 1995. During high school, he played football (All-County, All-Area 1994/1995), basketball (All-County, All-Area 1994/1995, All-Region 1995), and baseball (All-County, All-Area 1994/1995, East-West All-Star Selection 1995). Beaty signed to play baseball at the University of Montevallo out of high school. He then transferred to Bevill State Community College to play baseball and basketball. He played on the 1997-98 BSCC Basketball Team that won Region and finished third in the National Tournament. 

Saige Beaty and his wife, Meagan, have two children, Brynlee and Dax. He graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology, a master’s degree in Education Administration in 2004, and his Ed.S. in 2012. As of 2021, Beaty was the Assistant Principal at Curry High School.

In December of 2021, Bevill State Community College announced the appointment of Saige Beaty as the new Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball Team. During his 21-year tenure as a coach, Beaty had made six appearances at the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) State Tournament for volleyball, with two State Runner-Up seasons (2018/2020). He was the Eagle Elite Volleyball Coach of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2016, and 2020. He was also selected as Basketball Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2007.
